Make sure we vibe….

you (parents) and I (coach) must be partners on this journey

Our goal is the same, we want to help shed light on their own journey.  To help them realize that they aren't a victim, they aren't alone and yes, they ARE weird, but we are going to embrace that.

They aren't Human Beings yet, they are HUMAN BECOMINGS.

We have to remind ourselves that we grow the most through adversity, that making mistakes is necessary, and that we need to learn and laugh through the process.

In my experiences working with young people, I've noticed that many teens really prefer to be ACTIVE and engaged while discussing their thoughts and feelings about themselves. Depending on your individual kid’s personality, we might incorporate some fun and interactive activities to help get them talking more comfortably. This might include exciting options such as:

Art, playing with dogs, horses, or chickens, gardening, walking, playing music, doing puzzles, painting nails, making Vision Boards and many other activities

Life Coaching is not therapy.

It is walking a thin line between mentoring, coaching, tutoring, organizing, friendship and leadership.   It is learning to deal with "normal" situations and emotions according to a developmentally appropriate path.  In coaching, sometimes we learn coping skills, sometimes we talk mindfulness, sometimes we triage homework and responsibilities, sometimes we just turn the phone off.

Parenting teens is like....

trying to hit a moving target....in the dark.
